Walked down to the DEC during lunch time, and bought my fishing license. Turns out it didn’t expire until last Friday, I could have gone out fishing the Sunday after opening day — although I was on call and probably would have got called into the office had I driven out to one of the good trout streams in the Hilltowns.  The DEC was slow and pokey at doing the license as usual, but at least they got it done. At least they know how to use their own broken DECALS system. Definitely a nice afternoon for a walk, but it’s a pretty good climb back up the State Street hill. Good breeze downtown, and I spent a little time down by the river. I wish I could have spent more time down there, but as soon as I got down there my email box started filling up,  and people started calling me.

Once I get home I will have a quick dinner and go down to the park. I should be a nice evening, although it still gets dark around 8 PM, because we are still in the first half of the month. I guess it might be better go down to the library, and just sit on the bench there, although the wifi is much quicker at the park. Then it’s back home, for a cold beer or two on the tailgate. I could work on running the wire back to cap but I’m going to be tired and I’ll run out of sun before you know it. I’d rather get home relatively early and retire to bed, so I can get a good nights sleep.  It will be nice with the windows open and all that fresh air. I plan to sit out back for a while.

After long but relatively calm days at work the day broke, and today I was pretty busy. I guess I can’t complain that much as I got to take the express bus home and traffic is moving relatively quickly. And the park will be nice.
