Cars —

1) You don’t have get a government issued title to buy a car — except when buying from a dealer. You simply sign the back of a car title to change ownership and hand the title to the new owner. You only have to register the car if you want to operate it on public roads. There is no requirement to have a driver’s license to buy a car, even from a dealer.

2) You don’t need a driver’s license to buy a car. You only need a driver’s license to use it on public roads.

3) There are only health requirements for a car, if you get a license to operate it on public roads. If your driving it on your farm or land, there is no license required.

4) You only need liability insurance on an automobile if you have plates and intend to drive it on a public road. Liability insurance DOES NOT COVER criminal acts in most states. For example, if the police find you intentionally drove your car into a tree, the insurance won’t pay. Nor will insurance pay if you intentionally smashed your car into another car.

Guns —

1) You only have to get a background check in most states if your buying from a dealer, and not from a private individual who only occasionally sells firearms.

2) You don’t need a license to buy a firearm in most states. However, in all states you do need a hunting license to go hunting. Hunting licenses require you attend 10 hours of instruction on firearm safety, including a written and practical test.

3) Existing health insurance and homeowner’s policies currently cover liability for accidents with firearms. It’s not possible to insure against an individual’s criminal acts — that’s actually state and federal law. Insuring against crime, would encourage crime.
