West Kill Mountain

At 3880 feet, West Kill Mountain ranks sixth in order of height of the Catskill 3500ers. The views from West Kill are excellent. To the northeast is a full unobstructed view of the Blackhead range. To the southwest, the central high peaks can be seen including Slide and it’s close neighbors Cornell and Wittenberg. To the south is a distant view of the Shawangunks and the Hudson River.

The hike up to the summit is steep and seems to go forever. The views near the summit are spectacular. Probably some of the best views in the Catskill Mountains.
