The color television assures us that April showers bring May flowers. 🌷🌻🌼 I'll believe it when I see it, though there are definite hints of the green up -- grass is looking greener in the city, some bushes are starting to bloom and there are signs of the days to come. Days have gotten longer, windows open and it's generally just nicer then not that long ago.

Loons at Garnet Lake

It might still be wintry like in the Adirondacks, but the loons are out there singing their songs.

Delaware Land Use

While northern Delaware is highly urbanized much of the southern portion of the state is covered with cropland mostly corn for meat chickens and dairy farming.

One of the Campsites

This is one of the three campsites on Garnet Road. All of them are 30 feet above the road on a ledge. Most or all have vehicular access blocked off, so you have to park in the parking area, for the trail head to Round Pond.
