Today in 1967, it was a very hot and humid day to kick off July during the summer of love in Albany.┬áIt was partly cloudy except as the thunderstorm rolled through in the afternoon. The mercury reached a scorching 96 degrees by the afternoon, when it was broken by a severe thunderstorm. The average dew point was an oppressive 69, so it was very humid to kick off the month. The day’s average temperature 83 degrees, and the low was 70 degrees.

Mini Inverter

I sometimes need 120 volt household power in my truck cap. While I have a 800 watt inverter in the cab of the truck (under the back seat), I would have to run power back to the cap. But many times my demands are pretty low in the truck cap for household, so I picked up this $20 75-watt inverter I saw on sale a the store.

Map: Round Lake

Round Lake is a popular lake near Little Tupper Lake off of Sabbist Road in the Round Lake Wilderness, which was created in 2007. Home to several campsites, and good paddling without the cross winds of Little Tupper Lake, it offers paddling from an easy pull-off on Sabbist Road.
