I thought about staying out overnight in my truck at my parent’s house but I figured it would be fairly cold and rainy. I will be out there later in the week to help out as dad recovers from surgery. I like sleeping in the truck but on a cold damp evening like I thought tonight was supposed to be id rather be inside. 

That said, it has somewhat of a cleared out in this evening, and my walk was surprisingly pleasant. There was actually a lot of people out walking tonight. Besides an hour hiking up at the Holt Preserve and walking around the back field at my parent’s house, I wanted to do my evening walk as I felt I spent too much time at home this past weekend. I did write a lot of little pieces of code that will make my life easier going forward. 

For a while during my evening walk it was clear enough to enjoy the moon and stars. Waxing Crescent Moon tonight with 36% illuminated. The moon will set around 12:52 am. The First Quarter Moon is on Wednesday night with mostly cloudy expected. The Full “Flower” Moon is on Wednesday, May 10th. It was a beautiful morning then the clouds came back in. I should have taken my chance to get in the fresh air before the rain. Oh well. I’ve updated the weather records database and automated the database using NOAA website. This way at the end of the month, weather updates are easy. I used to use Weather Underground data but they cut back on the amount of data they publish for free, so now I’m pulling the data from the horses mouth or something like that. Maybe I should be careful as horses have big teeth. 

I’m going to order online two of those Buddy Heater filters so I have them, although at this point I doubt I’ll be using the heater much more but then again you can still have some cold mornings and wet days in the Adirondacks. It’s too bad it’s a seasonal product and Lowes doesn’t have them in stock any more this time of year. I’m going to try cleaning the regulator hose I have but I think it’s plugged with dirt and condensate. I’ve never had any trouble with the regular hoses and if I plug a filter, they are inexpensive compared to the quick disconnect hose, which really ain’t that much quicker. 

Well I should take out the trash and recycling, and do some cleaning. I have a lot of cans because I’ve been drinking all that beer I bought for camping. I should cut back as it has a lot of calories, and I’m already a big boy. Maybe next week when I run out of beer. I should drink more milk and water as it’s healthier.
