January 6, 2017 Morning

Today is the final day of the 12 days of Christmas, aka Epiphany. They turn off the state Christmas aka Holiday Tree after tonight because the celebration of Christ birth has come to an end. I’m sure that’s something that our president elect would notice at least after his staff told him. Tonight I will finish off the last baked ravioli I made from the work holiday party that’s been taking a break for the past few weeks in the freezer. Good way to close out the holiday season.

It’s a Friday too. Two weeks to Inauguration Day. It’s been a long week getting back in the routine that is normal during the month of January. 2017 is well underway.

Mostly cloudy and 21 degrees in Delmar. There is a west-northwest breeze at 8 mph. The clouds aren’t expected to last. The skies should clear shortly after sunrise.

Today will have a slight chance of snow showers before 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high of 27 degrees at 1pm. Four degrees below normal. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies and a high of 34 degrees. The record high of 71 was set in 2007. 12.7 inches of snow fell back in 2002.
