I needed to get away after last week. But it’s nice to play beach bum for a few hours, although my phone seems to think I’m playing beach but, whatever the hell that is supposed to mean.

Figured get a jump start on my tan today, using ample sunscreen, in an effort to avoid sunburn. The Mine Kill Pool is nice that it’s now free but it’s pretty small and the benches as nothing like the Watkins Glen Adirondack Chairs.

Truck is driving really great after the transmission fluid change. It seems like shifting is as smooth as velvet and it’s unshifting much earlier on hills, which really improves the driving experience. The air conditioning is nice and cold. I really can’t complain. Sometimes life sucks but you move forward.

Well I think I’m going to sit back in the sun and relax for a while before I hop back in the pool. Life is tough. But the sun is warm and water is cold.

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Thank God. Finally the weekend! Mostly sunny and 69 degrees in Delmar. Calm wind. The dew point is 63 degrees. Surprisingly sticky this morning.

In 1956, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus closes its very last “Big Tent” show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, due to changing economics all subsequent circus shows will be held in arenas. Now the only thing in tents is fireworks dealers and car dealers when their show rooms are being renovated.

There are 2 weeks until National Cheese Cake Day when the sun will be setting at 8:16 pm with dusk at 8:48 pm. The average high temperature is 82 degrees, with a record high of 100 in 1933.

Moving forward, I think I’m off to Schoharie County today to go for a drive and swimming at Mine Kill State Park. Then probably spend the night camping at Burnt Rossman. I want to get some corn and veggies at the farm stand and enjoy the frigid AC. But first, I need to get a haircut and get packed. And finish up my breakfast.
