Broadband Availability By Municipality - Fiber Optic Service Availability

New York State has just completed a broadband mapping program as part of the national broadband mapping program funded by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration in the US Department of Commerce. Information about the availability of high-speed Internet services, commonly called Broadband, was collected from broadband provider companies regarding the technology type and speed of services offered. The data was updated every six months for five years, and is shown on the NYS Broadband Map at http://www.broadbandmap.ny.gov as well as the National Broadband Map at http://www.broadbandmap.gov. The data on the map depicts broadband availability at the Census Block level. This table summarizes the information for each municipality (town, city, village, Indian Reservation) in New York State.

June 17, 2016 Morning

Good morning! Eat Your Vegatables Day. Currently mostly sunny and 64 degrees on this final Friday of Springtime in Delmar. There is a north breeze at 3 mph. A pretty nice morning. It’s also the anniversary of the Watergate break ins.

Sunny today, with a high near 81. North wind 5 to 7 mph. Three degrees above normal. The record high of 94 happened back in 1994.

Tonight the sun will set at 8:35 pm with dusk around 9:10 pm, which is 19 seconds later than yesterday. 69 degrees and clear at sunset. A very comfortable dew point at 51. Today will have 15 hours and 19 minutes of daylight, an increase of 12 seconds over yesterday.

It will be a very pleasant Friday evening. Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. The normal low for tonight is 57, so it will be about normal for this time of year. The record low of 39 occured back in 1958.

On this day in 1972, Five White House operatives are arrested for burgling the offices of the Democratic National Committee, in an attempt by some members of the Republican party to illegally wiretap the opposition. This would become the basis for the Watergate scandal.

There are 2 months until Thrift Shop Day when the sun will be setting at 7:52 pm with dusk at 8:22 pm. The average high temperature is 32 degrees, with a record high of 61 in 1895.

It’s been a long week, but it’s almost the weekend. Planning on a quiet weekend, going to the Gas Up festival with Dad on Father’s Day. Tomorrow might go fishing, bass season opens. While I’ve been late at work all week and been driving Big Red downtown, today I think we will be done before the last bus at 11:30, and I hate driving when tired. It’s just so risky, especially if you’re not looking to take your own life. Driving is a pretty gory activity.

Monday is the first day of summer. I am definitely looking forward to that. I’ll be glad when it’s quieter in the office and I can dress more casually. Next weekend thinking about Burnt Rossman State Forest and spending Saturday at the Mine Kill State Park pool swimming and fishing in the Blenheim Reservoir. Would be a nice weekend.

Enjoy your Friday!
