Partly cloudy but otherwise seasonable for tonight.Β Looking atΒ a low around 58. Calm wind. The normal low for tonight is 57, so it will be about normal for this time of year. The record low of 40 occurred back in 1961.

Mostly sunny and warm tomorrow.Β Thinking we may haveΒ high near 85. Light east wind. The normal high for Thursday is 78, so it will be about seven degrees above normal. The record high of 96 happened back in 1967.

Looking ahead, Thrift Shop Day is in 9 weeks.

Tonight as part of the construction process on the 787, they had it narrowed down to one lane after hours.Β Talk about a pain in the ass.Β There are no merge lanes open, instead the DOT has put up yield signs, as all traffic is funneled into the fast lane. Fortunately, at like 11 PM, there is very little traffic on the 787, but it’s still pretty annoying.

I hope you had a good day. Sleep well.

On this day in 1967, The People’s Republic of China tests its first hydrogen bomb. It would be one of the world’s few powers with access to the devestatingly powerful hydrogen bombs.

There are 9 weeks until Thrift Shop Day when the sun will be setting at 7:52 pm with dusk at 8:22 pm. The average high temperature is 81 degrees, with a record high of 97 in 1913.

Last night I pulled up behind a State Trooper (Capitol Police division most likely) at a stop light downtown. He was in a big Chevy Tahoe, but compared to my big jacked up truck, I was looking down at him. At the light I think all he could see was my grill. I thought that was kind of funny. My truck always looks so big downtown.
