June 2, 2016 Morning

Well, good morning! It’s a Thursday and about time to start thinking about the weekend 67 degrees under partly cloudy skies with a dew point around 55. Comfortable conditions with a breeze around 6 mph.

Another fairly warm day on tap. Looking at 82 degrees but with a dew point around 54 degrees should feel fairly comfortable. There is an increasing chance of thunderstorms come afternoon into evening. Friday has a chance of thunderstorms and rain showers all day.

Despite getting home pretty late last night, I think I got a pretty good amount of rest. Hopefully today won’t be such a long day. We will see. It’s Thursday, so I had better make weekend plans soon, especially if I plan to leave on Friday. I might not, as I may just do a one night trip out to Hudson River Islands State Park or a local state forest to tent camp. That gives me Friday night to pack and plan.

Still looking at tubes for relaxing on a lake this summer. I’m definitely thinking about a semi truck or farm tractor intertube but I’ll also consider other options if they are durable. I want a big tube, because I’m a big guy, but it has to fit under the truck cab fully inflated. There are a lot of choices. I was reading Tractor Supply sells tubes for fixing tractor tires punctured by corn stalks and rocks, which might work as long as they don’t have steel valve stems. I know there are several pro-tubes available on the internet, but I’ve read mixed reviews on them, and they charge remarkably expensive shipping and prices compared to what you would get for a new (much less a used tube) at a tire or farm store.
