62 degrees and humid this evening. The weekend should be delightful but chilly evenings in the Adirondacks. Tomorrow night is going down to 42 degrees in Inlet but warmer weather is expected in the daytime – if you can call 68 degrees warm. Nice weather for late October in the Adirondacks.

My bags are packed and I’m pretty ready for a nice long weekend at Moose River Plains. Fluids are good, new air filter is in and my truck us running good. Kayak is on the roof. All that is left to pack tomorrow is personal supplies and my guns. I have all the supplies I need except for some small fireworks which I plan to buy in Queensbury at Walmart or maybe a roadside stand. I plan to spend $40 which will give some good color for the weekend and maybe have some left over for future trips.

This year I’ll probably be camping a few campsites beyond 35. If you’re up at Moose River Plains this weekend stop by. I’ll have cold beer and burgers, hot dogs or chicken depending on the night.

My alarm is set for 5:45 a.m. That’s rapidly approaching. Good night, sleep well.

Talk about a wet morning. I thought the rain was supposed to tapper off two days ago but the rain doesn’t seem to want to conclude.

Started packing last night and should finish up tonight except for personal items that I need in the morning. My goal is at this time tomorrow to be close to Glens Falls. I really would like to be to be at Cedar River Flow by noon tomorrow. That will give me ample time to get set up and have time in the afternoon to go for a short hike or fishing.

Replaced the air filter and checked the oil and fluids. Things are pretty good to go now, although I still need to pick up food at Shoprite. One day of work then I will have four days off. Should be nice.
