Moose River Plains roads need gravel

"Hamilton County Superintendent of Highways Tracy Eldridge says about 13.3 miles of road within the Moose River Plains desperately need gravel, but it would cost about $25,000."

"The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors approved a service contract between the county and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in April under which the DEC will pay up to $90,000 over three years ($30,000 per year) for road maintenance within the Moose River Recreation Area.

"This is just for culvert and grading work."
