Good Evening, It’s the Weekend

Good evening, made it to the weekend. It’s been a heck of a long week but I survived it in one piece, started to recover from a cold, and didn’t screw too many things up at work.

Yesterday was a cluster getting to work. I didn’t feel like taking the yokel local bus to work, but it was too late to walk to the Park and Ride. So I drove down there. I didn’t think to check the bus time, until I was at the stop — and there was no time provided. Sometimes the radio doesn’t work in the bus, so it’s not reported.

The bus never showed up on Thursday. I waited until about 9:07 AM, when I called CDTA to ask when the bus was coming. They didn’t know, so I headed down to the Delaware Ave Park and Ride, but missed that, so I ended up driving in. Traffic was normal for this time of day, but parking was easy with the previous’ nights parking restrictions and the day commuters already leave.

Ended Up Driving Down to Henry Hudson Park and taking some pictures, and spending time watching the hawks, seagulls, and Canadian geese fly over the now open water on the river. It was a nice evening, now that we have the later sun, even if it wasn’t super warm, and there was still a lot of snow on the ground.

Caught the bus downtown today, and everything went a lot smootherΒ although today at work was not totally hitch-free. But that comes with the territory. I’m used to messy days at work without everything going smoothly, as that’s the nature of the job. But I get paid to do my job, so I can’t complain too much.

Although I went out for drinks after work,Β this is a pretty quiet evening. I went down to the library to download some podcasts and finish up on this blog post. I will probably go bed once I get home, as I need to recover so I can get out for the Save the Pine Bush hike tomorrow.
