Awful City Sidewalks

I had to drop off my truck to get the bolts on my lift-kit re-torqued, and ended up leaving it there this morning. The city sidewalks are atrocious along Central Avenue, especially for a city that supposedly puts pedestrian safety as a priority. Some cross walks aren’t at all plowed.

In contrast, in the Town of Bethlehem, the sidewalks are both plowed and sanded by municipal crews. While I have some complaints about the municipal snow removal during major holidays and Sundays, the vast majority of the winter, the sidewalks are quickly cleared of snow and ice. They are much safer then the atrocious city sidewalks.

It should be noted that the Town of Bethlehem has vastly lower property taxes, and they receive much less federal and state aid.
