Good morning, Happy Tuesday. Back to work today. It was a long weekend for me with the Martin Luther King Day holiday.

Today is a nice, sunny warm day with temperatures in the mid-20s. It was a nice walk down to the Park and Ride. Maybe there is hope for spring time, even though the mercury is expected to remain below freezing through Saturday.

Got my lifted truck back from the shop and it drives really nice. The suspension is firmer than stock but it doesn’t ride that rough as the 35×12.5×18 inch tires really absorb the bumps.

It’s a bit of a dog accelerating and it kind of drinks fuel but re-gearing things should fix that. I got to find a local shop to do that, it should. be real good. Hate to put more money in the truck but I already budgeted for the gears and a programmer — to fix the speedometer and get more power. It really looks and drives pretty sweet. I don’t drive that much in the winter, but I would like to do the re-gear/programming by mid-March

I still feel endlessly guilty about the truck but it’s like I have the money and I give up on a lot of other things like driving to work and having Internet and Air Conditioning at home. I live in a very modest,  e.g. cheap apartment and don’t take fancy vacations or eat out. I also put a big chunk of money away from retirement, and seek to keep up my effort at maxing out my Roth IRA every year.
