First off, the weather doesn’t look real nice for leaving on Thursday or Friday for my week long Twin Tiers trip I am planning. So that gives me an extra few more days to plan out exactly where I want to go. My guess is I will end up leaving on Friday or Saturday, the later most likely, as I want the weather to be good at least when I start out.

The trip will start out in the Western Catskills. I haven’t been down that way since last fall, despite my intentions of making a mid-summer trip down there. Probably spend a day or two down there, seeing how many tree rats I can drop and exploring that area.

Then it’s off to Northern Pennsylvania. Probably head out Tioga State Forest, and maybe make it to the Pine Creek Gorge. From there, depending on the weather I either want to head down to Elk Country or the Allegheny National Forest. Alternatively, I might head up to Cattaraugus/Allegany County NY to do some hunting up there.

Then from the Allegheny National Forest I probably will head up to Jamestown and Chautauqua and/or Cattaraugus County. Then I want to head back down to Pennsylvania to get to Presque Island State Park. There’s a possibility that I drive out to Ohio from there, and then eventually back to the Allegheny National Forest. Titusville is another possiblity.

I probably will end up staying in Pennsylvania for the start of Big Game season, so to enjoy the quiet down there, and then drive back on Saturday the 15th or maybe Sunday the 16th.
