September 11, 2013

Today is September 11th, 13 years Later. Where do the days come and go? It’s already 13 years after the terrorist attacks that occurred on my freshman year in college. Time sure moves past fast. But we still all remember that beautiful blue sky morning, the otherwise normal fall day that the planes disappeared in the sky, and the horrific pictures we saw on the television screens across the nation. I remember seeing the terrorist attack on television in College Basic Statistics class.

Cloudy Day Today. Nothing like September 11th all those years ago with the deep blue skies. I still remember the quiet with the planes all grounded, and those deep blue skies. The cloudy weather today is kind of comforting, as we look back at the tragic day.

Hoping to get up to the Adirondacks this Weekend. Saturday looks cloudy, but other then that a nice fall weekend appears to be on tap. I might try to leave work at 4 PM on Friday, so I can get up there when there is still some daylight. I would buy some firewood, and set up in the dark. But that’s fine. The lights can burn well into the night, and I can curl up with a good book, next campfire. The days are still long compared what it will be like in November.

While I expect to stay in the southern Adirondacks, I won’t be surprised to see a bit of color. Going to be a gray day on Saturday, but sometimes that enhances the fall color. I don’t care, as the weekend is supposed to be mostly dry, and I want to get out of town now that I have my truck back.

This past week has been one of the more exciting weeks in my career. It’s been a long summer with a lot of hard-work, but sometimes that hard-work pays off. I was fortunate to have so many good people who had my back and made it all possible. Sometimes experiences are challenging, and you learn a lot.
