A Nice Low Humidity Tuesday.

Good Morning! Happy Thursday. The second to last day of the work-week. I was up much too late working on a report for work that I need to get in this morning. It’s almost done, but I’m still tired. Regardless the coffee and the one mile walk down to the Park and Ride lot helped me wake up. The sink got plugged this morning, but pouring some hot water down it, finally freed it up.

Another nice, low humidity summer day. Most of this summer has been quite delightful. I walked down to the park and read for about an hour before it got dark out. Β It gets dark out much too early this time of year for sure. Then I spent a couple of hours working on the report for work on a lawn chair after dark with a cold beer in the left hand.

No news on Big Red, but I guess no news is good news. I’m not going to call the shop unless I don’t hear anything by mid-day tomorrow. I am still hopeful they will have truck done tomorrow, and I can sneak out of work and pick it up, and test it out a bit on Friday. Then again, so I’ve been hoping for the past 5 weeks, as we are now 7 weeks out from the crash.

If I have my truck back on Friday, I would like to get my kayak out, and paddle out to the Hudson Island State Park and maybe spend the night there on Saturday night. I think this time I would use the kayak launch on the east side of the river, rather then paddle down from Coxsackie against the currents and power boats, in a kayak loaded down with camping gear. I do need to buy more Coleman fuel for the lantern.

The following weekend, I am hoping to take a long weekend, and go somewhere fun like North Lake Reservoir. I think that would be a good adventure, because I really haven’t done much in the way of camping or traveling lately. As the summer is running short, that will probably be my only major trip except for Labor Day Weekend. Fall trips depend a lot ofn my schedule, but I don’t anticipate making any major fall trips until at leat November.
