Happy Thursday.

Good Morning! Happy Thursday. Last day of the week before Friday, whose evening is the unofficial start of the weekend. Left my farmers market stuff I bought at work yesterday, and was really bummed out. Nothing that will go bad over night, but I will put in the refrigerator when I get in to work this morning.

Lately I’ve been working late, usually until 5:30 or 6:00 PM. At that point, if I want to take the express bus home, I have to walk home from the Park and Ride – or take the local bus home. I’ve gotten tired of riding the local bus, so today, I decide to drive down to the Park and the Ride, and just catch the express bus downtown. In the evening, I can then take the 5:40 PM back to my car.

One month ago today, I was rear-ended on the expressway, heading up to Moose River Plains. Riding the the express bus downtown, I cringe every time the bus driver hits the brakes today. The driver today, seems to like to approach slowing cars a bit too fast. I think I am finally getting my truck back next week. Having the loaner was nice, but it doesn’t have all toys or the cap that my normal truck has.

Hoping at that point to finally get some time off from work, and take some much needed vacation time off. I’ve been socked with work this summer, and not having my truck, I’ve hesitated to take any time off. But with my truck back, hopefully I will get a chance to get a few days to get out of town and travel. I think I want to head down to Pennsylvania or maybe spend sometime in the Adirondacks. Maybe I can do both, especially if they are just three or four day weekend trips.

The 7 Ugliest Government Buildings In Washington, D.C

50 or 60 years out, most buildings are at the lowest point in career. They have seen decades of deferred and delayed maintenance, often hastily and incomplete repairs made by grounds staff to keep them operating.

That doesn't mean buildings can't be restored, or brought back to original beauty, with some care and efforts to make them fit contemporary needs.
