Cloudy Friday in January Edition

Good Morning! Happy Friday. Today is a rather gray, cloudy day, but at least it’s not too cold. Winter is progressing, and we are now to January 10th. By Wednesday, we will have way through the the month, and be coasting towards February, or so we hope. We got a bit of snow last night, and the roads are a bit slick in a few spots, so use due care.

Going to Rain on Saturday. I guess that’s okay, as I am really not much of a Saturday person. I’d rather sleep in, quite honestly, and mess with some code. I figure with the cold of recent, by not driving, I am saving fuel and wear and tear on the vehicle. Need to have gas money to keep the heat on, and not so cold in this cool weather. I’ve given up on freezing in the winter, and when I’m home, I turn the heat up for a comfortable temperature. I guess I probably should wear more layers, but it’s so easy to just turn up the heat and be comfortable. At night and when at work, except when it’s below 15 degrees, it goes way down to 50 degrees or lower whenever if it’s not freezing out.

Probably Work on Some More Blog Code. Last weekend, I didn’t do much on the back-end of the blog, despite being home most of the weekend. I just didn’t feel in the mood. There are a variety of projects I am working on, but none of them are particularly pressing. I want to more directly connect photos and maps to the backend of the blog, so that as soon as a post appears on the front page, it also will go to Facebook and Twitter. That usually happens, but its not fully automatic, and things sometimes fall out of sync.

Got to Upload the Pictures from Hannacroix Preserve. I went over there for a couple of hours last Sunday, but those pictures never got uploaded. I uploaded them last night, but they still need to be geopositioned and have titles/captions added to them. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow, or maybe sooner. We will see.

Sunday’s Weather Looks Nicer. Probably will stay local, and go to some place like Thacher Park or Partridge Run, but I haven’t really decided for sure. Winter drags on for another week, and the best thing to do is just kind of sit out and wait for spring to come again around on the calender.

Look Forward to Taking the Express Bus to Work Starting January 26th. I guess my birthday present this year is the express bus that will go past my house starting on January 26th, at a time that actually works for my schedule. I have long taken the 719 home on nights when I get out at 5 PM, but it leaves too early in the morning for me to take it to work, and not be to work super early. The new schedule works well for me, and will be a lot quieter and less stressful then taking the usually crowded local Route 18 to work.
