Doesn't this strike you as a marvelous place to work? Acres of parking! Tacky nature band aids! Draconian looking buildings! I actually worked there in the past, and sure was thrilled by this marvelous place.

Never mind it's in Albany Pine Bush, the building is green, as it has solar panels on it! Of course, there is no direct bus service here, so almost all of NYSERDA's employees have to drive in privately owned cars that guzzle fuel to get to work. Maybe they drive hybrids!

Back as recently as 1995, this was still Albany Pine Bush. Now it's home to the NYSERDA, the NY State Energy Research and Development Agency, that tacks taxes on everybody's energy bills, so they can have money to lease space in Albany Pine Bush, and talk about sustainable energy use, while consuming lots of it.

That's where the new Marriott is supposed to go, if the developers get their way. They already flattened the land, and it appears now that they are cutting back around the site, and reducing the trees to wood chips.
